Specialists in Internal Medicine are highly trained in diagnosing and treating complex diseases. Our internists are proficient in performing various endoscopic procedures, such as rhinoscopy (scoping of the nose), bronchoscopy and bronchoalveolar lavage (scoping of the airways), gastrointestinal endoscopy and biopsy, foreign body retrieval via endoscopy and cystoscopy (scoping of urethra and urinary bladder), to examine specific areas and collect samples. They also use techniques like arthrocentesis (joint tap), aspirates, biopsies, and bone marrow sampling to gather more diagnostic information. By interpreting this data alongside the clinical signs, our internists create tailored treatment plans for your pet.
Our Internal Medicine team has access to advanced equipment, including on-site ultrasound, digital radiography, CT scans, endoscopy tools, in-house laboratory facilities, and external reference laboratories for comprehensive diagnostics and treatment.
