King Animal Hospital is a privately owned Equine and Small Animal Muli-Specialty Referral & Emergency Services Hospital located in King City, Ontario, Canada.

This center includes three canine hydrotherapy treadmills, a regular canine treadmill, an equine hydrotherapy treadmill, a canine rehabilitation pool, laser therapy (Companion Class IV), a 6000-square-foot indoor equine ring, and a hyperbaric chamber.
We are one of only two veterinary hospitals in Canada to house a Hyperbaric Chamber (Sechrist Veterinary). Additionally, we have access to Laser Therapy, an in-house IDEXX lab, and Cubex for Pharmaceuticals.

Emergency Services
Emergency is open 24/7 and Lead by Two Co-Leads. The shifts are 12.5 hours in length and full-time employees will generally work 12 shifts per month.
Our ER DVMs will perform critical emergency surgeries. If you love surgery we will provide support with our surgeons, external training, and experienced DVMs.
Requirements
As a new hospital we will require a minimum of a rotating internship or at least one year of emergency services in a referral or emergency hospital.

Animal Care Attendant
King Animal Hospital is seeking experienced Animal Care Attendants to join our team.
Our hospital is a 60,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility located on 50 acres in King City, Ontario, and will offer specialty referral, rehabilitation, and emergency services.
The Animal Care Attendant (ACA) reports to the Lead ACA and will work alongside Registered Veterinary Technicians, Veterinarians and Veterinary Specialists to provide high-quality care and support to animals, helping to maintain their health and welfare.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting veterinarians, technicians, and other medical staff during examinations, treatments and possibly surgeries.
- Assisting veterinarians, technicians and other staff with the restraining animals and administering medications.
- You will need to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labour such as bending, stooping and standing for extended periods.
- Interacting with animals in a safe and respectful manner.
- Creating a warm, friendly, and welcoming environment with clients and pets.
- Feeding, watering, exercising, bathing/basic grooming of animals in our care according to established protocols.
- Recording observations in Vet Radar electronic treatment sheets.
- Monitoring animal behaviour and health, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
- General cleaning and disinfecting of your department (laundry, dishes, treatment rooms) in compliance with disinfection protocols.
- Cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting animal cages, examination tables and rooms.
- Walking dogs and providing exercise and enrichment.

King Animal Hospital is a new, privately owned, 60,000 sq ft. Equine & Small Animal Referral & Emergency Services Hospital.
As we innovate and evolve, we are adding a new facility on the same fifty acres dedicated to Emergency Equine Surgery. This will compliment our existing facility, staff, and services in elective orthopedic and soft tissue surgery.
You will join our Chief Medical Officer of Equine, three (3) highly esteemed and experienced board-certified surgeons, anesthesiologist and a dedicated support team of dedicated Registered Veterinary Technicians and Animal Care Attendants. All veterinarians will share in rotating on call duties to ensure the best care for our patients.
You will work with advanced diagnostics including a Siemens 1.5 MRI, Robotic Arm CT scan, Scintigraphy, Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, Arthroscopy and Laparoscopy Towers, and Endoscopes, 6000 sq ft equine ring, equine rehabilitation water treadmill, and in house lab and pharmacy.

Veterinary Inventory and Pharmacy Coordinator
King Animal Hospital is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Veterinary Inventory and Pharmacy Coordinator. This position plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of inventory and pharmacy including coordinating logistics to support the smooth operations of our large veterinary referral hospital.
King Animal Hospital is a 60,000 square foot Equine & Small Animal Specialty Referral and Emergency Services Hospital located in King City, Ontario.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the Inventory & Logistics Coordinator oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of inventory and pharmacy for the hospital. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.
- Use of EzyVet Software to maintain all aspects of Inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels, anticipate demand, and place orders with suppliers to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Notify hospital personnel of backorders and work with them to find alternatives to ensure patient care.
- Implement and maintain inventory control measures, including conducting regular stock audits and implementing efficient inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory records and perform regular physical inventories of products.
- Identify and report discrepancies in inventory levels.
- Coordinate with vendors and negotiate favorable pricing and terms for supplies and equipment procurement.
- Ensure that all products are properly labeled, stored, and handled according to safety regulations.
- Collaborate with various departments to assess their inventory needs and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
- Optimize storage and organization of inventory to maximize space utilization and facilitate easy access.
- Oversee the receiving, inspecting, and documenting of incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Responsible for the physical handling of all incoming shipments, the identification of material, verification of quantities, and the routing of supplies to the place of use (Departments) or storage
- Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile invoices, resolve discrepancies, and manage budgetary aspects of inventory.
- Continuously identify opportunities to streamline logistics processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in inventory management and logistics.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar role with experience in inventory management, logistics coordination, or supply chain management preferably within a veterinary hospital setting.
- Knowledge of veterinary medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment preferred.
- Working knowledge of all aspects of Inventory Control as it relates to Payables, Purchasing, Billing and Supply Chain
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organization and multi-tasking ability
- Computer skills including the ability to create excel spreadsheets.
- Working knowledge of integrated computerized inventory control systems
- Experience with Cubex and EZVet highly desired but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and propose effective solutions.

Registered Veterinary Technician – Small Animal Surgery/Float
King Animal Hospital, a new privately owned Equine and Small Animal Referral and Emergency Hospital, is seeking passionate and experienced Registered Veterinary Technicians to join our Surgery department.
Our hospital is a 60,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility located on 50 acres in King City, Ontario, and offers specialty referral, rehabilitation, and emergency services.
Our Team
Currently, our team is over 175 people strong.
We are focused on wellness and have an in-house Social Worker to help you with one-on-one coaching and a corporate gym!
You will work closely with our Board-Certified Surgeons and strong Referral Services team.
Most of your time will likely be in Small Animal Surgery but you might also float to some of the other areas which might include Oncology, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Diagnostics, Rehabilitation, or Neurology.
Job Summary:
As a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in the Small Animal Surgery Department, you will play an essential role in assisting veterinary surgeons with surgical procedures and providing high-quality care to small animal patients before, during, and after surgery. You will work closely with the veterinary team to ensure the smooth operation of surgical services, provide compassionate patient care, and maintain a sterile and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in initial surgical consultation for patient including taking a full patient history
- Medical record documentation (Ezyvet experience is an asset)
- Create and discuss surgical estimates with clients
- Invoicing
Pre-Surgical Preparation:
- Assist with patient intake, including reviewing medical history and performing pre-operative assessments.
- Place IV catheters and run peri-operative bloodwork.
- Perform radiographs or assist with other diagnostic imaging procedures
- Administer pre-anesthetic medication under the guidance of the veterinarian for surgical or diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient condition pre-operatively.
Intra-Operative Assistance:
- Assist veterinarians with small animal surgical procedures, ensuring sterility is maintained throughout.
- Monitor anesthesia, including adjusting levels and responding to any anesthetic emergencies.
- Record accurate and detailed surgical notes and patient information during procedures.
Post-Operative Care:
- Oversee patient recovery from anesthesia, closely monitoring vital signs, and identifying potential complications.
- Administer post-operative medications and provide pain management as prescribed.
- Create patient treatment sheets using Vetradar for nursing care during hospital stay
- Round patients between departments to ensure effective communication leads to highest level of quality patient care
- Educate pet owners on post-surgical care, wound management, and medication protocols.
- Assist with patient discharge and provide follow-up care instructions
General Duties:
- Complete medical records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Follow all hospital protocols for infection control, patient care, and safety.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with surgical procedures and techniques.
