Dr. Sukhjit Sidhu Joins King Animal Hospital

Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Sukhjit Sidhu completed his Honours Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Calgary before obtaining his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with Distinction from the University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2025. During veterinary school, he received the ACVS Foundation Student Surgery Proficiency Award and the Morton Johnston Scholarship for Outstanding Client Care.

Following graduation, Dr. Sidhu completed a small animal rotating internship at the CARE Centre, where he developed a strong interest in emergency and critical care. His clinical interests include shock, polytrauma, respiratory emergencies, fluid resuscitation, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), and soft tissue surgery. He is passionate about providing evidence-based care while maintaining clear communication and supporting pets and their families during challenging situations.
