Dr. Kaitlyn Chang Joins King Animal Hospital

Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Kaitlyn Chang completed her Honours Bachelor of Science in Bio-Medical Science before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree with distinction from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph in 2025. She went on to complete a one-year small animal rotating internship at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic (VEC) in Toronto, where she further developed her clinical skills in emergency and critical care, internal medicine, surgery, and neurology. 

Dr. Chang is passionate about emergency medicine and particularly enjoys the diverse caseload, complex clinical challenges, and opportunities for critical thinking that come with working in a fast paced emergency setting. Her clinical interests include respiratory emergencies, shock and trauma stabilization, toxicological emergencies, neurological emergencies, and soft tissue surgery. She values approaching each case with compassion, curiosity, and a commitment to providing thoughtful individualized care, while helping owners feel informed and supported during stressful situations.
